A little poetry

The Divide

if we can build a bridge for this canyon
if we can bridge it
and find our way through the mist
if we can find it
what lies between your heart and mine
what lies between us
could steadily slip into decline
could steadily slip
no more would we meet across that divide
meet across it
but instead stand side by side
